I live in Berkeley, California, and serve as senior editor at Citizen Film, a documentary non-profit based in San Francisco. I also advise students on editing and story structure at UC Berkeley’s graduate school of journalism. As a producer and editor, I’ve been nominated for two national Emmy Awards. My work helped win a duPont-Columbia Award, TV’s equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize, for Current TV in 2007, and an Overseas Press Club Award in 2012. I've also worked on films for National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel, New York Times Television, PBS, and HBO, among others. I hold a bachelor’s degree in film from Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in public policy from UC Berkeley.
